Culture Stuff
Some culture stuff for safety reasons:
- Don’t speak english if you’re taking a kakao taxi, converse in korean so the driver doesn’t take advantage of foreigners
- “PC” means passport check. use this phrase before each station / store / random times
- “WO” means watch out. this code will be used if hawkers are trying to take financial advantage, or you sensing a creep, or need to pay attention for safety
- If at times “WO” can’t be used verbally, gesture three fingers and zero like we’re in Dune
- If we’re going to the club / bar, never lose grip of your bag, never lose sight of your cup, and never get too intoxicated
- There is a main difference with fast lane rails and normal rails. gotta make sure to get on the right train.
- There are no public toilets in korea, pee before leaving anywhere
- Most stores and restaurants are closed on Monday, which is perfect for us cause that’s Nami Island Day, just make sure our meals are safe (can check if restaurant open on Naver)
- They don’t allow coffee on buses
